Wednesday 20 September 2017 from 11am to 7pm at St Paul's and St George's Church on York Place

If you’re considering volunteering, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet face to face with over 50 organisations currently looking for volunteers plus access to hundreds of other volunteering opportunities, all under one roof. Last year our volunteer recruitment fair helped over 1,100 people in their search for volunteering opportunities and make connections with the organisations that needed them. Make sure you’re one of them this year.

We know that amongst the many benefits of volunteering, trying out different kinds of work and building experience towards employment is often an important factor in thinking about volunteering options. Because of this we’ll be running volunteering and employment workshops throughout the fair that you can drop into and talk about how volunteering can give you the added advantage to get that new job.

Interested in booking a stall at this year’s fair?

If you are looking for a way to recruit more diverse and skilled volunteers, then why not book a stall at Edinburgh’s Volunteer Recruitment Fair? The biggest event of its kind in Scotland, this is a great recruitment and networking opportunity.

Now firmly positioned as the capital’s volunteering event of the year, the fair will showcase volunteering opportunities from across the city, helping to put volunteers in touch with volunteer involving organisations and vice-versa.

The cost of a stall will depend upon your organisation’s income for a single stall and stalls will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Every stall booked will include two lots of catering vouchers and each lot includes two refreshment vouchers, and one lunch voucher. These vouchers can be redeemed at the café inside the venue.

We understand that staff handover will happen throughout the course of the event, and for that reason we are offering organisations the option to purchase additional vouchers at £9.54 each (these must be booked in advance).

During last year’s hugely successful event, we had 56 stalls and over 1,000 visitors attend the event.

An equally wide variety of opportunities is expected to be available in 2017. Will your organisation be part of it?

To book a stall and for more information, please visit our Eventbrite page here or click on the Eventbrite logo below:

Here’s what past visitors to the recruitment fair have said:

"Great event environment lay-out Great Opportunity to not only meet potential volunteers but network this is not common. Thanks".

"Really impressed with how many people attended today, we had to replenish our info packs as we underestimated the demand. I would really come definitely come again as it was very worthwhile".

“There is such a variety of organisations looking for volunteers! I was amazed. I had the chance to talk face to face with a number that had opportunities that I found very interesting and really looking forward to getting started. I don’t think I could have got this far so quickly in my search without the opportunity to have direct conversations with so many organisations”.

“It makes such a difference having human contact rather than trawling a website – I could really get a feel for what an organisation was about and make sure that they were the right ones for me. Really very helpful”.

"I was astounded at the wide range in the city."

"Very friendly people on stalls. Lots of info and well organised. Thank you!"

"Struggling to find my career so this is helpful in finding out what things I can do to help me and give me more experience."

"Surprised to find exciting groups I'd never heard of almost on my doorstep."

"Lots on offer, people friendly approachable and willing to answer questions."

We also asked visitors to give us one word to sum up the Volunteer Fair for them. Here is what they said about last year presented as a word cloud:
